Money & Jesus
My learnings on building financial foundations on the Word of God.
Burn Their idols
“You must burn their idols in fire, and you must not covet the silver or gold that covers them. You must not take it or it will become a trap to you, for it is detestable to the Lord your God. - Deuteronomy 7:25 NLT
Do Not Covet
Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. - Exodus 20:17 HCSB
Whatever Circumstances
I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. - Philippians 4:11-12 HCSB
I am Content
Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest. - Proverbs 16:8 NLT
Food and Clothing
But godliness with contentment is a great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. - 1 Timothy 6:6-8 HCSB
Chasing Riches
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? - Ecclesiastes 5:10-11 ESV
Be Content
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5 ESV
