Money & Jesus
My learnings on building financial foundations on the Word of God.
Stray Donkey
If you come across your enemy’s stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him. - Exodus 23:4 HCSB
Not a Burden
And when I was with you and was in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. - 2 Corinthians 11:9 ESV
Eager to Serve
Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but freely, according to God’s will; not for the money but eagerly - 1 Peter 5:2 HCSB
Retirement
“This is the rule the Levites must follow: They must begin serving in the Tabernacle at the age of twenty-five, 25 and they must retire at the age of fifty. After retirement they may assist their fellow Levites by serving as guards at the Tabernacle, but they may not officiate in the service. This is how you must assign duties to the Levites.” - Numbers 8:24-26 NLT
Last Laugh
The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him. And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. - Luke 16:14-15 ESV
Don’t be Anxious
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? - Matthew 6:25 ESV
