Eager to Serve
Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but freely, according to God’s will; not for the money but eagerly
1 Peter 5:2 HCSB
In these verses Peter is addressing the elders, and let's them know that money should not be their motivation for doing what they do; because the real reward is the unfading crown of glory that will be received from Jesus for a job well done. This ought to be every Christian's mindset.
