Princes

19 God is not partial to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of His hands. 20 They die suddenly in the middle of the night; people shudder, then pass away. Even the mighty are removed without effort. 21 For His eyes watch over a man’s ways, and He observes all his steps. 22 There is no darkness, no deep darkness, where evildoers can hide themselves.

Job 34:19-22 HCSB

It is God who creates both rich and poor. It is God who sustains both rich and poor. Nothing that a person does, whether rich or poor, can escape the sight of God. Rich or poor does not persuade God's view of us. In the same way we ought not elevate our thoughts of people based on their bank accounts. Apart from Christ we are all doomed.

Value is found in Jesus alone:

16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God. 19 “This, then, is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who practices wicked things hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed. 21 But anyone who lives by the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God" (John 3:16-21 HCSB)
